The Director of Finance at Seattle Christian School is a full-time, exempt position responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the school. This role involves managing budgeting, payroll, and general accounting functions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Director will lead with confidence and discretion, embodying the school's mission and values in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general accounting functions including budgeting and payroll.
  • Manage the allocation of funds and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with school goals.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee the monthly financial cycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • CPA, CMA, and/or Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in general accounting, budgeting, and payroll.
  • Proven ability to lead with confidence and discretion.
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft 365 and automated accounting software.

  • Experience in a non-profit environment and auditing preferred.
