About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting activities. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of the organization and will involve developing and implementing financial strategies, plans, and procedures. The Director of Finance will work closely with senior management and stakeholders to prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles. In this position, you will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. You will provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, which includes hiring, training, and performance management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to support strategic decision-making processes. Additionally, you will manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and financial institutions, and oversee the company's ERP system to ensure accurate and timely financial data management. Monitoring and analyzing financial KPIs will be a key responsibility, as well as identifying areas for improvement. You will also act as a Plant Controller, overseeing the manufacturing finance function, which includes cost accounting, inventory management, and supply chain finance. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the organization's financial health
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making processes
  • Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and financial institutions
  • Oversee the company's ERP system and ensure accurate and timely financial data management
  • Monitor and analyze financial KPIs and identify areas for improvement
  • Act as a Plant Controller overseeing the manufacturing finance function

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; a master's degree and/or CPA/CFA certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Thorough understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting principles and practices
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting software, and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
  • Experience in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, inventory management, and supply chain finance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
