About the position

The Director of Finance at Neighborhood Health is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations, and providing strategic financial analysis to support the organization's goals. This role involves managing the annual budget, financial reporting, and audits, while collaborating closely with the CEO and management team to enhance operational efficiency and resource utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, control, and direct the fiscal activities of Neighborhood Health.
  • Prepare the annual budget and present monthly financial statements to the Finance committee.
  • Manage day-to-day financial functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Assess organizational performance compared to budget and peer groups.
  • Develop a clear financial plan aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Oversee financial accounting systems and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Review funder regulations and update internal control policies as needed.
  • Create financial policies aligned with GAAP and federal requirements.
  • Prepare necessary regulatory cost reporting and stay current with reporting requirements.
  • Review and recommend changes to the fee schedule annually.
  • Ensure proper insurance policies and coverage are maintained.
  • Coordinate financial performance measures for clinic operations.
  • Create a financial tracking system integrated with EHR and billing systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business administration/finance or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
  • Five years of experience in financial management, particularly in the health field.
  • Knowledge of third-party reimbursement mechanisms and government guidelines.
  • Strong financial analytical skills and communication skills.
  • Experience in administration and supervisory roles.
