Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of the Accounting, Payroll, Revenue Audit and Cage department functions and systems.
• Establish, monitor, and maintain systems, controls, and financial staff resources to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Produce accurate and timely statements, schedules, and reports in accordance with required timetable established by management.
• Analyze financial and occupational data and produce management reports.
• Coordinate and provide documentation to facilitate audits as necessary.
• Review internal control processes and recommend minimum requirements to comply with MICs, GAAP, or Gaming Commission/Management directives.
• Coordinate budget preparation process for both Operation and Capital budgets for CEDCO properties.
• Provide ratio and statistical review and analysis as requested by management.
• Work closely with entities other than the CEDCO properties to ensure adequate cash flows and reporting.
• Lead and support the overall CEDCO Finance team to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely reporting of results and analysis.
• Direct the Cage operations, working closely with the Cage Manager to ensure effective and productive scheduling and departmental compliance and effectiveness.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Work with financial institutions to develop appropriate relationships as needed or requested.
• Comply with applicable tribal, federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
• Assist in the training and development of Tribal Member employees following The Mill's Tribal Member Preference policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or a related field or an equivalent amount of education, training, or certifications. Advanced degree desirable.
• Minimum seven years of accounting experience with demonstrated ability to accurately maintain a set of books, and produce financial statements and reports on a regular schedule; working knowledge of GAAP; casino accounting experience required.
• Minimum five years management level experience in the profession, with a proven record of operating with high ethical standards and demonstrated team leadership.
• High level of proficiency in working with spreadsheets; ability to utilize word-processing and other appropriate software to produce results.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
• Proven record of positive leadership and strong team relation skills.
• Prior experience working with peers to source positive solutions to challenges and participation on property wide projects related to operations.
• Professional appearance and attitude a must.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies.
