About the position

The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance Team of a major retailer, collaborating closely with senior management to oversee day-to-day financial planning and analysis (FP&A) as well as driving process improvements. This position requires a strategic thinker who can generate and evaluate financial reports with a focus on clarity and accuracy. The Director will be responsible for updating monthly forecasts and contributing to the seasonal budget process, ensuring that financial goals are met and exceeded. Additionally, the role involves participating in the monthly financial close process, identifying and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance forecasting accuracy, and building strong cross-functional relationships to provide excellent internal service. The ideal candidate will ensure robust internal controls are in place and will independently solve problems as they arise. This position not only requires technical financial expertise but also strong leadership skills to manage and mentor a team effectively. Requirements

• BA in Finance or Accounting (CPA or MBA nice to have)
• 7+ years of FP&A or accounting experience
• Experience managing teams and mentoring others
