About the position

The Director of Finance at Montage International serves as the strategic financial leader for the hotel, responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives. This role involves overseeing financial and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering strong relationships with property ownership to meet financial expectations.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a business plan aligned with the hotel's strategy, focusing on financial and accounting activities.
• Prepare the annual budget for multiple associations in accordance with management agreements and governing documents.
• Ensure compliance of the resort's books and records with GAAP, Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, and applicable laws.
• Prepare and distribute periodic reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop a trusting business partnership with property ownership by understanding operating agreements and ROI expectations.
• Hire, develop, and retain a diverse workforce to provide financial leadership and expertise.
• Create a work environment that promotes fair treatment and associate satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance required.
• 5-7 years of previous accounting and finance management experience in a hotel.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing).
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Multi-entity financial management experience.
• Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems; technology-savvy.
• Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect departments.
• Ability to effectively manage labor productivity and owners relations.
• Strong understanding of effective internal control environments.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA Certification preferred but not required.
• Property management accounting experience preferred.

• Competitive salary range of $175,000.00 to $180,000.00.
