About the position

The Director of Financial Systems at BrightSpring Health Services is a leadership role focused on leveraging cloud technologies to enhance enterprise applications, integration, and financial reporting. This position is responsible for driving IT process maturity, fostering a data-driven culture, and managing performance metrics to support the organization's financial systems and objectives. Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Analytics & Financial Systems, the director will collaborate with various teams to implement effective financial and enterprise information systems that align with the company's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with all relevant parties regarding ongoing projects, technology, and programs.
  • Ensures the learning through available training and hands-on research meets the current and emerging needs of staff.
  • Collaborates with the data analytics team to engage and elicit support for a holistic business application and analytics vision.
  • Promotes effective use of data and technology to improve financial systems and their development.
  • Responsible for strategic systems planning, road-mapping, and portfolio management.
  • Promotes collaborative work practices with IT teams, internal corporate teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Defines, measures, and manages KPIs and team performance.
  • Recruits, selects, trains, and retains a high-performance team for technology projects.
  • Works with other IT departments and corporate teams to design and implement financial systems.
  • Directs the planning and delivery of capital projects and enhancements.
  • Controls the delivery of high-quality, timely, and accurate solutions.
  • Identifies information needs and supports planning and decision-making for management and system users.
  • Manages the development and implementation of financial and operational reports.
  • Creates strategies and policies for compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Designs and oversees implementation of processes for efficient workflow in financial systems.
  • Reviews technology trends and develops implementation strategies for financial systems.
  • Provides expert support in developing financial and enterprise information systems.
  • Ensures staff training and development meets current and emerging needs.
  • Pushes for improvements and scaling of enterprise systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Computer Science.
  • Ten to fifteen years of related direct experience leading medium to large department and matrix teams.
  • Experience with large consulting firms implementing HR and Finance, preferably in Health Care or Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, Workday, Kronos, and/or ADP preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience directing global third-party development teams with successful project implementations.
  • Ability to drive transformational change within corporate systems, including Finance, AP, Payroll, and HR.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, and talent development skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, organization, and emergency response skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes and execution.
  • Ability to express technical concepts effectively in business context.
