About the position

The Fitness Director will oversee all aspects of fitness operations, including staffing and scheduling, within a gym or fitness establishment. This role requires a strong background in fitness management, with a focus on cultivating staff and enhancing program offerings. The position offers a competitive salary along with commission opportunities for individual lessons.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of fitness operations including staffing and scheduling.
• Manage gym and fitness establishment operations effectively.
• Cultivate and develop the current staff of fitness professionals.
• Enhance and expand program offerings for clients.
• Ensure high standards of service and fitness instruction are maintained.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing gyms and/or fitness establishments.
• Valid Fitness Instructor License is required.
• Any combination of certifications from ACSM, ACE, AFAA, IFPA, or NSCA.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in group fitness training.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
