About the position

The Director of Food and Beverage at WellSpire, LLC is a leadership role focused on enhancing the culinary experience for residents at Fieldstone of DeWitt. This position involves overseeing all aspects of food service, including menu planning, budgeting, staff management, and ensuring high standards of hospitality and nutrition. The role is integral to creating a welcoming dining environment that prioritizes resident choice and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the fine dining experience, hospitality, customer service, and resident choice in all dining venues.
• Assist in planning, budgeting analysis, and reporting related to operations, controlling expenditures, and developing financial and operational plans.
• Provide administrative direction for menu formulation, food preparation, service, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, and personnel utilization.
• Plan, develop, control, and evaluate the nutritional care system for the community to coordinate clinical and administrative aspects of dietetics.
• Establish and maintain quality standards of food production and service, sanitation, safety, and security.
• Direct the recruiting, hiring, orientation, and training of new staff, conduct performance evaluations, and document disciplinary actions.
• Direct the ordering, receipt, storage, preparation, service, and transportation of food items.
• Plan a 5-week cycle menu that meets the recommended dietary allowance.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in management of multiple dining venues
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Excel
• Experience in hospitality and customer service
• Fine dining experience
• Leadership skills

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
