About the position
The Director of Food and Nutrition Services at TriStar Horizon Medical Center is responsible for leading and managing the operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery in compliance with regulatory standards while enhancing the patient experience. The director will oversee food production, staff training, budget management, and operational efficiency within the department.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, and manage the operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
- Ensure compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
- Direct food production and ensure adherence to standardized recipes and quality checks.
- Evaluate existing systems and processes, initiating changes and improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and manage department records and reports related to food services and nutrition.
- Provide staff development through training, education, and performance reviews.
- Manage department productivity to meet operational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the purchase of supplies and equipment for the department.
- Ensure ethical business practices and adherence to corporate compliance programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience in managing food services or hospitality.
- Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian (LD) preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.
- Completion of an ANAB Approved Food Management Course or equivalent required.
