About the position

The Director of Front Office is responsible for overseeing all Front Desk operations at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service and financial profitability. This role involves directing guest services, managing staff performance, and implementing marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and administers all Guest Services operations including guest service and registration, room inventory, and guest service standards.
  • Monitors and develops associate performance through supervision, professional development, and evaluations.
  • Initiates and implements marketing and up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize revenue.
  • Implements and monitors corporate marketing programs and ensures associates are knowledgeable about hotel offerings and local events.
  • Runs daily reports, analyzes data, and makes informed decisions based on findings.
  • Resolves guest issues and concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Recruits, interviews, and trains associates for the Front Office team.
  • Participates in the Property Manager on Duty program and responds to emergencies as certified.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality Management with at least 5 years of progressive Front Office management experience in a 500+ room hotel, or an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Specific brand experience/OnQ (PMS - property management) Certification preferred.
  • 500+ room experience and/or previous director level experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hotel with meeting space is preferred.
