About The Position

The Director of Global Culinary Operations at Meta is responsible for leading culinary café operations and programs across all global offices. This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, financial management, and the development of a diverse and talented culinary team. The position aims to align culinary initiatives with company objectives while implementing innovative practices and maintaining high standards in food service.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in leading globally diverse teams in the food and beverage industry.
  • Corporate experience in a large commercial environment, including restaurants, hotels, stadiums, and cruise lines.
  • Proven understanding of food/beverage procurement and logistics practices at scale.
  • Experience managing multiple locations simultaneously, including international locations.
  • Experience leading and developing other leaders.
  • Experience managing large commercial operators (e.g., Sodexo, Compass, Aramark).
  • Experience developing and implementing goals and strategies based on company objectives.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including managing large opex and capital budgets.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive decisions.
  • Proven customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a global organization comprised of chefs and programmatic teams.
  • Developing trusted relationships across Meta to ensure alignment of the culinary program with company objectives.
  • Overseeing a robust vendor partner model globally.
  • Developing global culinary standards for cafes, concepts, and micro kitchens.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in wait time, customer satisfaction, and budget management.
  • Conducting benchmarking of culinary programs against peer companies.
  • Staying connected to industry trends and adopting innovative best practices.
  • Building KPIs and OKRs to support Meta's mission and creating a business scorecard for performance transparency.
  • Partnering with business analytics teams to collect relevant culinary data.
  • Implementing scalable process improvements, including food safety standards.
  • Building a scalable operation that can adjust with Meta's business needs.
  • Creating a DE&I-focused vision for the Culinary organization.
  • Conducting global site visits to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Leading a global team in effective supplier management and product procurement.
