About the position

Neal R. Gross and Co. is a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company headquartered in Washington DC and have provided nationwide services for more than 45 years. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of Government Contracts to manage and oversee government contracts for our digital court reporting services reporting to our Senior Vice President of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the government procurement process, including RFP (Request for Proposal) development, submission, and pricing negotiations. This role requires advanced Excel skills for pricing modeling, and a proactive approach to strategizing growth in addition to identifying, responding to, and managing government RFPs. The Contract Administrator will also play a key role in implementing efficient processes for contract management and reporting. Experience with government contracting agencies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of government contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for government contracts, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Identify relevant government RFPs through various government portals and databases.
  • Develop, prepare, and submit proposals, ensuring that all requirements are met and proposals are submitted on time.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation for RFP submissions.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with government agencies.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models using advanced Excel skills, ensuring that pricing is competitive and aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze financial data, especially unit economics, of our contract to inform budgeting and pricing strategies for government proposals.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures for contract management, including monitoring contract performance, renewals, and amendments.
  • Ensure that all contracts are managed effectively, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the business development team to identify opportunities for new government contracts and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and growth initiatives related to government contracts.
  • Assist our Business Development planning activities in creating reasonable growth targets.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the government procurement process, including RFP development, submission, and pricing negotiations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for pricing modeling.
  • Experience with government contracting agencies is highly preferred.
