The Director of Government Relations - Federal is a key leadership role based in Washington, D.C., responsible for shaping and executing the Federal Government Relations strategy for Tenet Healthcare. This position involves overseeing the organization's federal trade association strategy and positioning, ensuring that Tenet's interests are effectively represented in various federal forums. The Director will manage federal lobbyists, develop strategies for advocacy, and ensure that communications are aligned with the organization's public policy goals. This includes the oversight of Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions and grassroots communications to enhance Tenet's influence in federal matters. In this role, the Director will lead the federal government relations and advocacy agenda, which encompasses the creation of legislative and regulatory summaries, strategic responses, and educational content aimed at increasing employee engagement. The position also requires coordination of facility visits by Members of Congress, strategically placing corporate and market leaders in influential roles within federal and national trade association committees and boards. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing a federal political giving strategy and will provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team through daily, bi-weekly, and quarterly reporting on policy and advocacy materials. This position is critical for advancing Tenet's public policy goals and requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, federal legislative processes, and the ability to navigate complex political environments.
