About the position

The Director of Health and Well-Being at Arvum Senior Living is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of residents within the community. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing clinical care, and collaborating with various team members to maintain high standards of care and safety for residents. The Director will also engage in community relations and awareness activities, ensuring effective communication with residents' families regarding care changes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
  • Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, developing and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Partner with the Administrator and team members to maintain resident and team member health safety.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
  • Oversee the clinical expertise of licensed nurses and assist with educational presentations as assigned.
  • Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through assessment and documentation processes.
  • Oversee the completion of monthly updates and report pertinent changes to responsible parties.
  • Collaborate with department coordinators to review potential changes in service or medication levels.
  • Ensure resident service plans are updated according to state regulations.
  • Participate in community awareness activities and maintain communication with residents' families regarding care changes.
  • Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
  • Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; Registered Nurse preferred.
  • One year of experience in a nursing leadership role; senior living experience preferred.
  • BSL Certification.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior living environments.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with senior populations.
