About the position

HCD International is seeking a Director of Healthcare Project Operations and Quality Improvement to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight across the Project Management Office (PMO). This role is essential for aligning project management practices with organizational goals, enhancing project delivery efficiency, and fostering a culture of quality and accountability. The candidate will utilize advanced technologies and data analytics to implement effective project management systems and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for effective project execution within scope and budget.
  • Build relationships with directors and managers to understand project management needs.
  • Monitor project portfolios for adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Implement standard performance measurement systems (KPIs and SLAs) to assess project management effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance to project managers in resolving complex project issues.
  • Lead coordination among operations departments to improve workflow and business processes.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement in project delivery processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of project processes and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with project management leaders to standardize project requirements and quality improvements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Implement PMO strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing a PMO or project management office.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in health administration, Project Management, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Office 365 and its Project Management capabilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using quality improvement tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Health plan and/or full cycle HEDIS experience and knowledge a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with small businesses.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint.
