About the position

The Director of High-Value Residential Construction and Operations is responsible for overseeing the construction, renovation, and operational maintenance of ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) properties across the U.S. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio that includes urban luxury residences, sprawling ranches, and private islands, ensuring the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex projects and will serve as the primary expert for all phases of construction, from planning to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple high-value renovation, construction, and maintenance projects across various locations, ensuring timely completion and top-tier quality.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, oversee vendor inspections, and ensure that all properties are running smoothly.
  • Build and manage relationships with top-tier vendors, designers, general contractors, and security teams, identifying and deploying the best resources for each project.
  • Work closely with the principals on a daily basis, providing them with updates and expert advice on project progress and maintenance needs.
  • Review complex proposals, construction plans, and billing packages, ensuring all projects meet the client's vision and budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of safety and security protocols customized to fit the needs of each residence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in managing high-value residential construction, renovation, and property operations, ideally for UHNW clients.
  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, interior, and structural plans with precision.
  • Expertise in leading contractor meetings, budget reviews, and project discussions with principals and internal teams.
  • Proven experience managing properties in diverse locations, including urban environments, ranches, and island properties.
  • Hands-on approach with high attention to detail and a willingness to step in wherever needed.
  • Financial expertise for budgeting, tracking, and expense auditing across multiple projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain an extensive network of vendors, contractors, and designers.
  • Highly discreet and confidential, with the ability to manage the complexities of UHNW households.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver succinct updates and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
