About the position

The Director of Hospice Services - RN at Constellation Health Services is responsible for overseeing the overall direction of the hospice program. This role includes managing qualified hospice personnel, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and establishing standards of care. The Director will also implement and evaluate goals and objectives for hospice services, contributing to the organization's quality standards and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates the Hospice goals and objectives in alignment with the organization's strategic direction.
• Develops and implements required Hospice policies and procedures to ensure identified outcomes.
• Ensures organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Ensures services provided by other agencies are authorized by hospice.
• Monitors operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals.
• Oversees the Hospice QAPI Plan and ensures compliance with all aspects of the program.
• Develops, implements and manages the Hospice budget.
• Monitors business operations to ensure financial stability.
• Evaluates hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives.
• Works with Billing and collections department to resolve hospice billing issues.
• Ensures appropriate data collection and regular, complete reports are received by the Governing Body.
• Ensures adequate space, equipment and supplies are available.
• Ensures actionable objectives are derived from evaluation of hospice services and personnel.
• Ensures that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Valid RN License.
• Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in health care management.
• Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Knowledge of corporate business management.
• Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous home care/hospice experience preferred but not required.
