About the position

Coreworks, LLC provides our clients and their residents with facility support services that include housekeeping, laundry, plant operations, maintenance, transportation, and security. We uphold a distinctive level of service and hospitality culture that our clients currently enjoy from Unidine. Our operations are rooted in responsiveness and flexibility, with a dedicated focus on enhancing resident experiences through deep expertise and a broad perspective. We are currently seeking a Director of Housekeeping and Plant Operations who will be responsible for overseeing all operational facets of both departments in a senior living setting. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including those set by the State Health Department, NFPA, and CMS, as well as adherence to the organization's policies and procedures. The Director will review, plan, organize, and control the functions and activities of all support services under the scope of the contract. This includes developing, recommending, and implementing new programs, services, policies, and procedures. Effective communication is key, as the Director will lead all aspects of departmental communications with clients, resident groups, and regional leadership. Monitoring the flow and quality of work is essential to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to community standards. The Director will also serve as a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and product suppliers, maintaining the department in an 'inspection ready' state at all times. In this role, the Director will implement changes to services that enhance the desirability of the community for current and future residents. Encouraging and cultivating associate creativity and innovation in community programs is vital. The Director will advise on structural changes and modifications to all buildings on the property and support the growth and development of the teams under their leadership. This position requires a strong background in plant operations and environmental services, particularly in healthcare or residential settings, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal agencies including the State Health Department, NFPA, and CMS.
  • Reviews, plans, organizes, and controls functions and activities of all support services under the scope of the contract.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements new programs, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Leads all aspects of departmental communications to clients, resident groups, and regional leadership.
  • Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to community standards.
  • Serves as a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and product suppliers.
  • Maintains the department in an 'inspection ready' state at all times.
  • Implements changes to services that improve the desirability of the community for current and future residents.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a senior level position related to housekeeping and plant operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
  • Experience in team development and management.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Technical knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification.
  • Five to seven years of responsibility at a director level in plant operations and environmental services.
  • Experience with Federal & State healthcare surveys in a long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of Life Safety Codes and NFPA regulations.
