About the position

The Director of HR and IT Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources, Facilities, and Information Technology departments at Robert Half in Concord, California. This role involves developing and implementing organizational policies, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives. The director will manage operational efficiency, foster a positive workplace culture, and lead the Total Compensation strategy while collaborating with senior leadership to align policies with the organization's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of all facilities.
  • Oversee IT operations to ensure secure and efficient technology infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and legal compliance.
  • Contribute to leadership and employee development strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture to attract and retain top talent.
  • Lead the Total Compensation strategy, including compensation and benefits planning.
  • Manage and optimize relationships with the Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
  • Oversee facility-related projects, including renovations and expansions, to support organizational growth.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements for facility operations.
  • Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing organizational policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align policies with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost-saving measures, and innovation.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, providing leadership and direction as needed.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to monitor departmental budgets and support the annual organizational budget planning process.
  • Provide guidance to relevant vendors regarding HIPAA and privacy compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR and IT operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in compliance and HR compliance aspects.
  • Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation and managing contracts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in various HR and IT software and applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in HR and IT operations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of CPI - Consumer Price Index.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies.
  • Experience in a leadership role managing a team.
