About the position

The Director of HR Operations is a strategic leader responsible for managing the Human Resource Department at Graton Resort & Casino. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and guest service through various HR functions, including team member relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and policy management. The Director plays a crucial role in implementing strategic business plans and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while promoting company values.
  • Establish high expectations and performance measurements for HR services.
  • Align HR objectives with the overall People strategy and strategic plans of the organization.
  • Deliver centralized HR services that prioritize guest service and professionalism.
  • Motivate and inspire change within the business plan for positive outcomes.
  • Stay informed about organizational dynamics to achieve objectives.
  • Provide analysis and advice on HR functions to business leaders.
  • Collaborate on the development and assessment of HR strategic plans.
  • Identify and implement solutions to address business needs.
  • Oversee HR operations including reception, team member relations, and recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer recruitment strategies and ensure alignment with company values.
  • Oversee performance management processes and onboarding for HR team.
  • Manage the administration of team member benefits and compensation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience at a managerial level within HR covering multiple functions/departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with HR systems and paperless processes, preferably ADP.
  • Proven leadership and administrative skills in HR functions.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and stakeholders.
  • Current knowledge of personnel-related employment laws and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years' experience at an executive level.
  • Master's Degree or MBA in Human Resources.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
