About the position

The Director of People Resources is responsible for supporting the overall People and Culture vision through assessing, leading, tracking, and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic HR projects and requests. This position will own the HR project portfolio, determine the staffing needs of an agile pool, coach and guide their direct report(s) within the agile pool as well as other assigned cross-functional team members. The role requires collaboration with the Chief People Officer to define and prioritize projects, identify expected outcomes, establish timelines, and assign project staff. The Director will facilitate cross-functional governance meetings, conduct demand management, and assess strategic HR requests to form agile project teams as needed to drive project success. Success measures for each project will be identified, including KPIs, target milestones, completion dates, financial impact, and HR customer outcomes. The Director will track and ensure the successful implementation of projects, check on missing capabilities and tools needed, and continuously improve methods/tools based on learnings. Additionally, the Director will support the Centers of Excellence (COEs) in the rollout and execution of their plans and programs, act as the lead point of contact and project manager for HR activities related to mergers and acquisitions, and provide feedback and observations back to COEs and HR Leadership. The role also involves assessing the resourcing needs for project deployment, evaluating resourcing bandwidth and capabilities, and forecasting hours allocation for resources to ensure proper levels of accountability and ownership are met. Resource management and identification will support both internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize HR projects in collaboration with the Chief People Officer.
  • Facilitate cross-functional governance meetings and prepare necessary materials.
  • Conduct demand management for project requests triggered by business needs or data insights.
  • Assess strategic HR requests and form agile project teams as needed.
  • Identify success measures for each project, including KPIs and financial impacts.
  • Track and ensure successful implementation of projects and improve methods/tools based on learnings.
  • Support COEs in the rollout and execution of their plans and programs.
  • Act as the lead point of contact and project manager for HR activities related to M&A.
  • Provide feedback and observations to COEs and HR Leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Assess resourcing needs for project deployment and evaluate capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong project management skills, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
