About the position

The Director of HR at our green energy company plays a crucial role in leading and managing all aspects of human resources. This position is integral to the success of the organization, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development. The ideal candidate will bring innovative strategies to foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with employment laws, all while supporting the company's mission of sustainability and growth in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to meet the company's workforce needs.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports high employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to make informed decisions regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs, and oversee the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR Management experience is required.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR management, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • SHRM CP or SHRM SCP is a plus.
  • Experience working in mid-large sized organizations is required.
  • Experience working with remote staff and creating employee engagement strategies for remote staff is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience in the Engineering industry.
