Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with an innovator in the food equipment space, located just northeast of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This client has a rich history, starting in a small machine shop in the 1970s, and has since evolved into a leader in food equipment innovation, serving customers worldwide. As the Director of Human Resources, you will be part of a dynamic leadership team, contributing to the company's ongoing success and potentially growing into a Vice President of HR role. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and executing the HR strategy, ensuring that HR initiatives align with the overall business goals. You will create policies and procedures that govern the HR department's operations, ensuring they are effective and compliant with legal standards. Additionally, you will manage and develop talent within the organization, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development programs. Fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture will be a key focus of your role. Another critical aspect of your responsibilities will be to ensure legal compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will manage employee relations and mitigate risks through effective HR practices, ensuring that the company maintains its reputation as a fair and equitable employer. Your leadership will be essential in shaping the HR function and supporting the company's growth and innovation in the food equipment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategy aligned with overall business goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Several years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor law.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA is highly desired but not required.
  • Experience in the food equipment or manufacturing industry.
