The Director of Human Resources is a key leader within the company operations, responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of the HR department. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and local labor laws as well as licensing regulations. The Director will review departmental policies and procedures, conduct departmental budget analysis, and effectively communicate with other departmental leaders regarding operational tasks and events. This position also involves managing team member productivity, training, and hiring processes. In collaboration with the General Manager, the Director will develop and implement strategic plans aimed at building and maintaining a positive company culture and ethical standards. Essential functions of this role include conducting regular departmental meetings, scheduling and facilitating team member meetings and trainings, and ensuring that the company remains compliant with all mandatory licensing and legal requirements. The Director will oversee the company's recruitment, training, payroll, workers compensation, leave, and benefit programs, while also managing all disciplinary actions and separations of team members in accordance with company policy. The Director is expected to foster and maintain effective working relationships between peers, team members, and vendors within the company. They will also be responsible for training all team members within the department to uphold company service standards, creating and updating departmental policies and procedures, and demonstrating effective time management skills to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the Director will analyze and make recommendations regarding the department budget, manage departmental equipment, and ensure that direct reports receive constructive coaching sessions as needed. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, as the Director will need to assess situations, consider alternatives, and seek guidance when necessary.
