About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department and drive our human capital management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the Not for Profit sector, working directly with HR practices, policies, and procedures, with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business goals.
• Oversee recruitment processes including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
• Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a supportive work environment.
• Oversee compliance with Leave of Absence, FMLA regulations and other employment laws.
• Utilize HR software systems such as UKG for efficient data collection and reporting.
• Prepare and manage the HR budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
• Conduct training sessions on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Analyze workforce data to identify trends and inform decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of human capital management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in budgeting processes related to HR functions.
• Experience with data collection and analysis for workforce planning.
• Familiarity with SAP, Workday, Kronos, UltiPro systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to assess candidate fit effectively.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and performance management.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to navigate complex employee relations issues with tact and professionalism.
