About the position

The Director of Human Resources will drive organizational solutions that align with the company's talent philosophy, focusing on attracting, retaining, and motivating employees. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, facilitating initiatives across the organization, including talent acquisition, performance management, and diversity and inclusion strategies. The position requires building a strong HR team and fostering business relationships to achieve results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive organizational solutions to support talent philosophy.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison and advisor to the leadership team.
  • Facilitate initiatives across the company by developing and implementing effective HR programs.
  • Develop, interpret, and enforce HR policies that align with company values and goals.
  • Provide HR expertise and support to department heads and supervisors.
  • Create staffing strategies and implementation plans for talent identification and retention.
  • Oversee annual performance and talent review processes.
  • Design the full cycle HR process and strategy, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Manage HR staff to centralize and streamline recruiting processes.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive onboarding process for new employees.
  • Enhance user experience through management of HR technology suite.
  • Drive the use of data analytics to produce people insights for decision-making.
  • Develop an employer brand proposition to attract top candidates.
  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate HR staff.
  • Review potential liabilities with legal counsel and update policies as needed.
  • Conduct internal investigations or refer for external support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field/experience required.
  • 10+ years of related experience in human resources.
  • 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in HR or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs.
  • Experience with HR/Recruiting software like ADP, SAP, Workday, etc.
  • Expert knowledge in full lifecycle recruitment.
  • Strong management and coaching skills.
  • Skilled decision-maker with transparency in management.
  • Strong customer-centric focus with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to create and use data for quality reporting and decision-making.
  • Good understanding of budget preparation and fiscal management principles.
  • Solid knowledge of state and federal laws relating to payroll and HR compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR/SPHR or other Human Resources certification preferred or equivalent experience.
