About the position

The Director of Human Resources at Children's Rescue Fund is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources Department, ensuring effective management of HR functions such as employment, performance management, benefits administration, and employee relations. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings to review progress and provide support.
  • Perform evaluations and assist in creating development plans for HR staff.
  • Act as the primary contact for complex employee relations issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Provide advice and consultation to department managers on performance issues and dispute resolution.
  • Mitigate legal risk through regular audits and proactive training.
  • Track and analyze HR trends and metrics to identify and prevent recurring issues.
  • Advocate for employees by addressing their needs and concerns with senior leadership.
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and assessment of employees' work results.
  • Regularly review and update Human Resources policies to reflect changes in laws and practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain a pay plan and conduct periodic pay surveys and job evaluations.
  • Contribute to employee engagement through effective administration of employee-related programs.
  • Collaborate with departments to confirm payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee benefits management and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead the delivery of professional development and performance management processes.
  • Provide training on Performance Review and Staff Development Plans.
  • Maintain historical human resources records and filing systems.
  • Foster a positive work environment that respects diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Conduct research and analysis of compliance with employment laws and recommend best practices.
  • Remain current on best HR practices through professional development and training.
  • Diagnose and lead HR projects that support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of direct human resources management experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience supervising a team of HR professionals.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR functions including employment law, employee relations, and benefits management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex information quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in nonprofit organizational operations and governmental contracts.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced MS Office skills.
