Responsibilities

  • Develop and standardize capacity modeling solutions and capacity parameters to enable global comparisons for best practice sharing, optimization, and operational excellence resulting in increased output and manufacturing flexibility across the enterprise.
  • Act as key advisor in collaboration with executive and operations leadership to define capacity priorities, set clear, measurable objectives and monitor progress toward achieving them.
  • Identify opportunities for capacity improvements and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency through effective layout and resource utilization.
  • Drive both strategic and tactical capital and volume planning across global factories as part of the long-range plan and business continuity.
  • Oversee capacity modeling solutions and ongoing execution to ensure smooth and effective growth of our manufacturing footprint.
  • Identify constraints and define trade off matrix to maximize our capital investment.
  • Lead a team in the development and implementation of dynamic capacity modeling, procedures and concepts, project roadmaps including tool and process qualification timelines and resource plans, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure capacity improvement projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget, meeting or exceeding defined objectives.
  • Build standardized reporting and modeling infrastructure for timely decision making.
  • Build and lead a high-performing industrial engineering team, including project managers, change agents, and functional experts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, standardization, and accountability.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support capacity growth and the successful adoption of new processes, tools, systems, automation, and technologies.
  • Oversee communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and prepared for change.
  • Provide data as part of Change Control and impacts to capacity.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and support for technology and tool roadmaps.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to facilitate successful project execution.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress and impact of capacity transformation efforts.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies including automation.
  • Implement industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance business performance and achieve strategic goals.
  • Utilize performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential risks associated with capacity transformation initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure that transformation projects comply with organizational policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Create effective communication dashboards for global comparisons including stated capacity, trade off matrix definitions, equipment performance, and factory output.
  • Work closely with SIOP and Finance teams to communicate capacity and capacity trade-offs as part of the planning process.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Computer Science, Mechanical and Automation Engineering or related fields. Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering / operations management in semiconductors, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in industrial engineering transformation management, with a proven track record in leading large-scale change initiatives to include optimization and efficiency efforts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor systems, dynamic capacity modeling, operational best practices and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate and influence across a complex organizational environment.
