About the position

The Director of Information Technology at Saint Therese is a senior leadership role responsible for providing vision and management for IT initiatives across the organization. This position leads the IT team in maintaining a secure and reliable network infrastructure, advises the IT Steering Committee, and manages the IT budget. The Director is tasked with executing the organization's IT strategic plan and ensuring that technology supports the needs of residents and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and vision for IT initiatives across the organization.
  • Advise the IT Steering Committee on strategic IT matters.
  • Manage the execution of the organization's IT strategic plan.
  • Lead the IT team in maintaining a secure and reliable network infrastructure.
  • Prepare and manage the IT annual and capital budget plan.
  • Recommend technical acquisitions and conduct strategic planning.
  • Execute tactical actions to meet strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Five years or more experience in IT environments with large scale information systems, preferably in multisite healthcare settings.
  • Five years or more experience in management/leadership of information technology team members.
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing the implementation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Experience in developing and executing disaster recovery and business continuity plans in healthcare settings.
  • Expert in troubleshooting and resolving problems with Microsoft, Linux, and proprietary operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA & PCI compliance.
