About the position

The Director of Investment Operations at the Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of the foundation's endowment portfolio. This position involves managing critical processes such as coordinating fund commitments, rebalancing portfolios, and ensuring effective performance monitoring to support long-term financial goals. The Director will serve as a key liaison with external investment management firms and collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational systems and maintain high-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational processes and systems for the endowment portfolio.
• Coordinate new fund commitments and rebalancing of portfolios.
• Review legal documentation related to investment operations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external investment management firms.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Accounting team on monthly pricing processes.
• Support the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Liaise with software providers to troubleshoot issues and enhance system functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in an institutional investment office.
• Demonstrated experience with investment operations, fund accounting, and performance reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting functions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for independent and collaborative work.
• Knowledge of financial markets and investment portfolio strategies.
