United Wheels Inc. (UWI) is seeking a Director of IT Operations and Security to oversee and manage all aspects of IT operations, including service management, network and infrastructure, system administration, and cybersecurity. This pivotal role reports directly to the CIO and is responsible for developing an infrastructure and security strategy that ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the technology environment supporting core organizational functions. The Director will lead a dynamic team of IT professionals, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization. In this role, the Director will lead IT operational planning, oversee security and operations-related projects, and work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. The position requires the efficient utilization of IT resources, including personnel and equipment, across the organization. The Director will also develop and implement functional policies and procedures for network architecture, standards, purchasing, and service provision. The Director will create and maintain UWI's security strategy and roadmap, including a security awareness training program and security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. They will supervise the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits, while ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations. Additionally, the Director will implement ITIL-based service management practices to ensure efficient delivery of IT services and oversee incident management processes to drive timely resolution of issues. The role also involves managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The Director will develop and manage the IT operations and security budget, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT services and products. This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service orientation, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
