About the position

The Director of IT Support Services provides leadership and oversight for all functions related to Information Technology (IT) within the organization. This role involves managing IT staff, handling end-user escalations, overseeing technology asset management, and ensuring compliance with information security policies. The director is responsible for project management, systems administration, and the strategic direction of IT investments, while also managing budgets and liaising with contractors and institutional partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direct oversight for all IT functions.
• Manage and mentor IT subordinates.
• Oversee day-to-day execution and management of end-user escalations.
• Responsible for life cycle management, maintenance, and inventory control of technology assets.
• Manage systems administration of physical and virtual information systems.
• Oversee contract management, negotiations, and SLA oversight.
• Manage service operations including incident management and request fulfillment.
• Coordinate project management with continual service improvement initiatives.
• Govern information security policies and acceptable use guidelines.
• Manage IT budgeting in coordination with senior administration.

Requirements

• AS in Computer Science or equivalent program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Windows systems administration experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft RSAT, ITIL best practices, and CISSP practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully in a diverse multicultural environment.
