About the position

The Director of IT at Clēnera is a leadership role responsible for overseeing both strategic and tactical operations of the organization's information technology functions. This position involves managing a nearly 100% SaaS-based environment, ensuring high user satisfaction, and leading software-related process improvements across the company. The role requires a hands-on approach to IT management, including security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT department's operational and strategic planning, fostering innovation and organizing resource allocation.
  • Align IT goals with business objectives and provide technical leadership and project management.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.
  • Operationalize a security and privacy control framework based on regulatory controls and best practices.
  • Ensure IT practices protect company information, mitigate risk, and monitor security concerns or breaches.
  • Lead and direct security projects, including risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, development, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications and software.
  • Oversee delivery of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Lead cross-functional data visualization and reporting initiatives, maintaining data integrity.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing employees, as well as managing the department's budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain organizational excellence in project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology, including 4 years of leadership experience.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft technologies like 365 and Azure.
  • Experience developing and maintaining APIs for data pipelining and integration.
  • Preferred experience with Quickbase and Netsuite, or other accounting and document management software.
  • Preferred experience with Power BI or Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic vision across various IT domains.
  • Strong grasp of agile project management methodologies.
  • Ability to partner with the business to understand requirements and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly effective teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Quickbase and Netsuite or similar software.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.
