About the position
The Director of Life Enrichment is responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational activities within the Activities Department at Fairlawn Haven. This role focuses on directing and motivating staff, as well as developing and implementing enrichment services for residents, ensuring high standards of service and quality are maintained. The position requires flexibility in hours to accommodate campus events, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all administrative and operational activities of the Activities Department.
- Direct and motivate staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement resident enrichment services.
- Ensure excellence in service and quality for all activities offered.
- Manage the Transportation and Volunteer programs within the facility.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Drivers License and valid insurance.
- Licensed or registered as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities professional, or have 2 years of equivalent experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a positive attitude.
- Solid computer skills including PCC (MDS System), Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
Nice-to-haves
- Active STNA license is a plus but not required.
