About the position

The Director of Logistics at Fusion Pharmaceuticals is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the transportation, storage, and distribution of the company's radiopharmaceutical products. This role is critical in managing logistics operations to support clinical trials and commercialization efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies for efficient transportation of products with short shelf life.
  • Manage relationships with courier services for reliable transportation of time-sensitive materials.
  • Collaborate with CDMOs to optimize supply chain processes and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate and optimize route mapping to minimize lead times and reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions for logistics efficiency.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen events and ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards for product transportation.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary compliance measures.
  • Identify potential risks in the logistics network and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish KPIs to track logistics performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Generate reports and analytics to assess performance against benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing logistics organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven track record in managing logistics operations for products with short shelf life.
  • Experience managing relationships with external partners like CDMOs and third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards for pharmaceutical products.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach.
