The Director of Luxury Sales at Park Hyatt Chicago is a leadership role focused on driving sales and marketing efforts for the hotel, particularly in the luxury and business travel sectors. This position requires a strategic and experienced professional who can develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage key accounts, and foster relationships with luxury consortia partners. The role emphasizes achieving revenue goals while ensuring exceptional guest experiences that align with the hotel's prestigious brand.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all business travel and luxury sales efforts for the Park Hyatt Chicago.
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans for volume and local business travel accounts.
  • Coordinate monthly and annual account reviews and develop market action plans.
  • Manage the corporate RFP process for all volume accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Hyatt Sales Force Team.
  • Oversee and cultivate relationships with key luxury consortia partners.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and business travel visits to key accounts.
  • Plan and execute site visits and destination familiarization trips.
  • Proactively research and identify new B2B sales opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales solicitation call goals.
  • Manage and update partner websites with engaging content and imagery.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with guests to ensure personalized luxury experiences.
  • Work independently while adhering to established policies and budgetary guidelines.
  • Lead, participate in, and facilitate team meetings as needed.
  • Mentor and develop a sales coordinator.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years in luxury hotel sales, business travel sales, or related field.
  • Proven experience with luxury consortia (e.g., Virtuoso, Signature, AMEX FH&R).
  • Strong background in corporate RFP management and account growth.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce, Opera), Microsoft Office, and digital content management.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering results.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, tradeshows, and sales calls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
