About the position
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of The Farms at Bailey Station, a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community. This role involves supervising the maintenance of buildings and mechanical assets, developing budgets, and ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements related to Life Safety in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The Director will lead the Building Operations Team and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the maintenance of the buildings and mechanical assets of The Farms.
- Oversee and develop budgets and capital expenditures for the community.
- Ensure high standards of construction and maintenance for all buildings.
- Manage all maintenance contracts and systems including electrical, phone, and emergency response systems.
- Develop vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for maintenance services.
- Coordinate the Safety Committee and facilitate monthly meetings.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and work order system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's/Technical degree in a related field.
- Four years of maintenance supervision experience.
- Valid HVAC certification and experience.
- Working knowledge of machinery, tools, repair techniques, plumbing, and related repairs.
- Experience with electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, and emergency response systems.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and carpet/flooring maintenance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience and understanding of state regulatory requirements related to Life Safety of Licensed Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living.
