About the position

St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee is seeking a Full Time Facilities Supervisor to manage and oversee the St. Joseph campus, which spans 20 acres and includes seven buildings, a football field, and a track. The Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance and repair of the campus's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role requires overseeing the operation and safety of various building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and janitorial needs. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with both internal and external customers to ensure efficient relations and manage facilities service requests. A work order system will be developed to ensure that deadlines and standards are met, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of the campus. The Facilities Supervisor will plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise subordinate personnel in custodial services and the maintenance of heating, air conditioning, electrical, structural, and plumbing systems. This includes assisting and coordinating project planning and construction, monitoring and inspecting construction projects, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and local code requirements. The supervisor will also be responsible for training subordinates in proper diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and installation procedures for various systems and equipment, including Pneumatic Building Control Systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the Facilities Supervisor will respond to emergency calls, assign staff, and provide oversight during such incidents. They will maintain records of equipment operation logs and produce HVAC system efficiency reports to identify system problems or confirm proper operating conditions. The supervisor will monitor the inventory of repair and replacement parts, initiate purchase requests, and assist with budget preparation and prioritization of expenditures. Coordination with the Building Automation team to implement energy management strategies is also a key aspect of this role. The Facilities Supervisor will meet with customers, internal partners, and contractors to develop plans, work, time, and cost estimates, ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Requirements
