About The Position

The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for leading the manufacturing team to achieve ambitious business goals while overseeing all in-house production and manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes maintaining product integrity, promoting a culture of care and excellence, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems for data management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing training programs for manufacturing staff.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the manufacturing team to meet daily and monthly revenue and stock goals.
  • Develop and execute the manufacturing plan schedule (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Uphold the 5x10 business model and ensure quality assurance on the floor.
  • Maintain a clean work environment with labeled stations, equipment, and bins.
  • Ensure all floor equipment is in good working condition and regularly maintained.
  • Control and maintain BOMs in the ERP system, ensuring they are live and accurate.
  • Develop and deploy a strategic manufacturing plan aligned with overall business strategy and operational objectives.
  • Plan production and delivery to meet product quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Review analysis of cost, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and provide updates to leadership.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and health-oriented work environment for all employees.
  • Lead continuous process improvement and efficiency of production lines in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to create and support skills development programs.
  • Develop future leaders by providing resources and support for skill development.
  • Create, maintain, and manage training schedules for floor staff.
  • Manage and maintain floor measurements, ensuring accurate labor time recording.
  • Develop and maintain floor-level promotions and incentive plans.
  • Create OKRs and KPIs for the team in line with company goals and report monthly on status.
  • Complete root cause analysis on issues to prevent fallout and increase efficiency.
  • Promote ethical practices and a positive working environment.
