We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-driven and possess substantial experience in marketing within the healthcare sector. This role is pivotal in planning and executing all marketing efforts, including public relations, marketing, and sales strategies, to ensure the hospital maintains full occupancy. In this position, the Director of Marketing and Business Development will represent the hospital to local providers and work diligently to promote positive public relations and clinical services. The essential functions of this role include developing, implementing, evaluating, and refining integrated strategic marketing and sales plans based on data, trends, and market needs. The Director will identify potential partnerships and growth opportunities within the region while also enhancing departmental efficiency. Additionally, this role involves directing and developing individual clinical liaison goals, monitoring results for sales calls, referrals, admissions, and outpatient visits. The Director will ensure that the liaison team effectively tracks sales activity, maintains client profiles, develops monthly sales plans, and adheres to the company's standards of conduct. Achieving budgeted volume goals for average daily census (ADC) and admissions is a critical responsibility, as is ensuring competency adherence for clinical liaisons. The Director will collaborate with management teams to negotiate or renegotiate contracts with payors to generate volume and coordinate all marketing and public relations activities, including exhibits at conferences, seminars, advertising, media relations, and government relations. Furthermore, this position will work closely with clinical leadership to develop and promote new programs and services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all marketing and public relations activities such as exhibits at conferences, seminars/in-services, advertising, media relations, government relations, etc.
  • Work in conjunction with clinical leadership to develop and promote new programs and services.

Requirements

  • Five years current experience in the healthcare industry required.
  • Three years' experience in hospital sales/marketing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare field or marketing preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and insurability.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of patient mix, regulatory requirements, reimbursements, etc. that impact overall hospital operations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement successful strategic sales plans.
