About the position

At Summa Rehabilitation Hospital, we are passionate about patient care! As a 60-bed facility, we provide inpatient rehabilitative services to patients recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Business Development to join our team of dedicated caregivers. This role is crucial in ensuring that our marketing efforts align with our mission of providing top-quality care and service excellence. The Director will be responsible for planning and executing all marketing strategies, including public relations, marketing, and sales, to ensure full occupancy of the facility. This position requires a strong leader who can manage and direct the Marketing and Business Development Department effectively. In this role, the Director will provide administration with summaries and recommendations based on market research evaluations, ensuring that our marketing strategies are data-driven and effective. The individual will coordinate the production and placement of advertisements, ensuring that our messaging aligns with the hospital's mission and guiding principles. The Director will also work closely with other departments to integrate marketing efforts into the overall operations of the hospital, fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient care and satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all marketing efforts including public relations, marketing, and sales to ensure full occupancy of the facility.
  • Manage and direct the staff in the Marketing and Business Development Department.
  • Provide administration with summaries and recommendations from market research evaluations.
  • Coordinate the production and placement of advertisements.
  • Integrate the hospital's mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum four years clinical experience preferred.
  • Two years in a clinical compliance role preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards and hospital-specific rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
