In this role, the Director will develop a comprehensive communications plan that utilizes a variety of channels, including print publications, web content, e-newsletters, email campaigns, advertising, media relations, and social media platforms. A key responsibility will be to implement a regional marketing strategy aimed at building an enrollment pipeline that supports the network's growth throughout northeast Ohio. The Director will also oversee the production and distribution of all external publications, ensuring that they are engaging and reflective of the school's mission. The position requires strong project management skills, as the Director will be responsible for managing the marketing department's budget and ensuring that all marketing, communications, and advertising expenses are accounted for. The Director will also analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights, making data-driven decisions to enhance engagement and outreach efforts. Collaboration with the Admissions and Advancement Departments will be crucial in creating effective marketing materials and events that attract prospective students and families. Overall, the Director of Marketing and Communications will play a vital role in shaping the public perception of Julie Billiart Schools, fostering relationships with local media, and ensuring that the school's message resonates with its target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive communications plan for the organization.
  • Implement a strategy for regional marketing to build an enrollment pipeline.
  • Create a branding experience that raises the organization's visibility.
  • Write, edit, design, and oversee the production of all external publications.
  • Manage and maintain all content for the organization's website CMS.
  • Review and analyze engagement of marketing campaigns using analytics tools.
  • Manage media relations by writing and distributing press releases.
  • Oversee the application and enrollment process in collaboration with school administrators.
  • Collaborate with Admissions on advertising, marketing materials, and events.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement Department on development-related materials.
  • Develop and staff the marketing committee of the board.
  • Manage and plan the department budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications.
  • 5+ years in the marketing/communications field with leadership experience.
  • Excellent project management and creative planning skills.
  • Strong photography skills.
  • Proven experience with designing and maintaining engaging websites.
  • Strong working experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat DC.
  • Proven skills in writing and editing communication and marketing materials.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to work collaboratively and provide excellent customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Analytics and market research.
