About the position

The Marketing & Communications Director at Jacobs Financial Services is responsible for promoting the company's products and services while identifying consumer needs to enhance offerings. This role requires extensive marketing experience, professional speaking skills, and a strong understanding of branding. The director will lead a team and interact with clients, focusing on developing effective marketing strategies and overseeing the marketing department's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop marketing and branding strategies for products.
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department by identifying revenue opportunities and securing new accounts.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, profit-and-loss projections, and expenditures.
  • Understand key performance metrics and translate market research results into actionable insights.
  • Lead the development of marketing strategies in collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including segmentation, testing, and results reporting.
  • Create media and marketing scripts for various channels that yield positive ROI results.
  • Conduct regular meetings with account managers to review the pipeline and resolve challenges.
  • Coordinate recording schedules with media personnel and update the marketing calendar.
  • Evaluate media proposals and handle incoming media, sponsorship, and donation requests.
  • Manage a new email drip campaign system for leads and share the company mission at events.

Requirements

  • Successful track record in a senior marketing role and campaign creation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • Experience with media buys/proposals and vendor relationships.
