About the position

The Director of Marketing & Annual Campaigns at the University of Nebraska Foundation is responsible for developing and implementing effective annual campaign initiatives that support the mission of the University of Nebraska. This role focuses on increasing donor participation and funds raised through integrated marketing campaigns, while fostering strong relationships with development staff and university personnel. The position offers a creative and innovative environment, allowing for significant impact in the healthcare sector through fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, production, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns including direct mail, giving days, crowdfunding, email, social media, and data segmentation.
  • Accountable for increasing the number of donors, dollars raised, acquisition and retention of donors, and managing the associated budget for the medical center and Nebraska Medicine.
  • Assist in the development of a comprehensive annual giving plan to achieve aggressive goals in donor participation and funds raised.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of data used for annual campaigns, including direct mail, email, digital, stewardship, calling, and benchmarking activity.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with development staff and university personnel to ensure success of the giving program and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required (marketing, communications, business).
  • 3-5 years' experience in direct mail, marketing, development, database management or related field.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Basic computer software plus data and reporting software; Blackbaud CRM preferred.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare marketing or fundraising.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
