About the position

The Director of Marketing & Creative at AG Jeans is responsible for overseeing global marketing initiatives and providing strategic brand direction. This role involves maximizing media visibility, cultivating creative marketing ideas, and managing staff development within the marketing team. The position requires collaboration with various departments and external partners to ensure brand consistency and effective communication across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with AG's PR agency and serve as the point of contact for all media contacts.
  • Support the company's PR initiatives to drive exposure and manage budgets.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key media contacts and act as brand spokesperson when appropriate.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and coordination of internal and external marketing and public relations strategies for domestic and international markets.
  • Assist with cross-functional departments' marketing initiatives and requests, as needed.
  • Identify key brand partnerships to continue to build the AG brand and extend its reach.
  • Oversee brand creative, including copy and imagery, ensuring brand standards are met and objectives exceeded.
  • Attend various marketing events and promotions to represent the company.
  • Collaborate with the President, Creative Director, and other department heads to ensure consistency in collateral and communications.
  • Lead the artistic development and execution of individual projects in collaboration with copywriters and graphic designers.
  • Generate clear photo shoot ideas and concepts that align with brand and marketing goals.
  • Develop original concepts and execute designs based on brand style guides/principles.
  • Manage and delegate tasks among the marketing and creative team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Create and maintain relevant calendars, timelines, and budgets for the Marketing and Creative departments.
  • Stay current on design and industry trends and relay information to the creative team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, English, or related business field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in PR and marketing within an agency and corporate environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and command of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Strong media and publication relationships across key markets to maximize media exposure.
  • Comprehensive experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate concisely and openly within the organization and externally with agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, innovative, and efficient at problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of project management tools; Asana is a plus.
  • A trained eye for design aesthetics and creative layouts with the ability to translate strategy across print, web, mobile, and video.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and flexibility to adapt quickly to change.
  • A collaborative and creative mindset with a positive attitude.
  • A genuine interest in and knowledge of the fashion industry.
