About the position

In this role, you will work closely with leadership to develop and implement a successful marketing strategy that is aligned with business goals to increase demand and deliver on growth expectations. This position is responsible for the marketing efforts of several current brands and lines of business within CMC's Emerging Businesses Group, with the potential to add new brands through future acquisitions. The Director of Marketing will play a crucial role in shaping the marketing landscape of the organization, ensuring that all strategies are effectively executed to drive revenue growth and enhance brand positioning. You will develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at driving revenue growth, increasing market penetration, and enhancing brand positioning. This includes designing and managing campaigns to generate qualified leads, implementing and optimizing lead nurturing processes to convert leads into sales, and conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and opportunities for expansion. Insights gained from this research will inform marketing strategies and product development. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with business leaders and commercial teams to effectively market new and existing products. You will develop value propositions, messaging, and go-to-market strategies while optimizing the online presence to increase visibility and engagement. Additionally, you will collaborate with Enterprise and Line of Business marketing teams to develop and manage marketing communications, including advertising, public relations, events, and promotional activities. Budget management is another critical aspect of this role. You will plan and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI and meet financial targets. Close collaboration with the sales team is essential to align marketing and sales efforts, providing sales tools, materials, and support to enhance the sales process. You will also monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes. As a leader, you will mentor and develop the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all marketing activities is paramount. You will also collaborate and coordinate with other directors of marketing across the enterprise and adjacent lines of business to share best practices, align strategies, and ensure cohesive messaging and branding across different business units.

Requirements

  • 7 plus years of progressive experience in various dedicated marketing roles within a complex organization.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to drive growth and meet organizational objectives.
  • Proven ability to develop effective marketing, advertising, and promotional activities that accelerates revenue growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related experience required.
  • MBA or Master's degree in marketing preferred.
