About the position

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing function's tools, processes, data, and strategic priorities. Your leadership will ensure that the marketing team operates smoothly, aligns commercial functions against Building Automation's strategy, and accelerates the attainment of business goals by leveraging market, customer, and competitive insights and intelligence. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you will lead the Marketing Operations team and play a crucial role in driving the success of our business. As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of Marketing Operations practices with the objectives of improving service quality and reducing costs through continuous improvement. You will drive marketing excellence by executing strategic projects and program operations under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), while also influencing members of the leadership team to achieve results. Collaboration with the CMO and other senior leaders will be essential to support strategic planning and facilitate the data, tools, and processes needed to optimize marketing campaigns and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing the marketing budget process, ensuring collaboration with finance for visibility, tracking, timely approvals, and optimal resource allocation. You will streamline marketing processes, including lead processes and revenue attribution to digital campaigns, to enhance measurement, efficiency, and effectiveness. Additionally, you will develop and maintain marketing performance metrics and dashboards, analyze campaign performance data, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement. Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies will be vital to enhance marketing capabilities and drive collaboration with marketing and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of total experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience in data-driven marketing roles such as digital marketing, reporting and analytics, competitive intelligence, and/or market research.
  • Proven track record of developing, executing, and optimizing successful integrated marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience with multiple go-to-market channels including sales and demand generation for a B2B company.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in the building automation industry is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of marketing operations best practices.
  • Experience managing agencies and scopes of work with vendors.
