About the position

The Director of Marketing at REVOLT is a strategic and creative leader responsible for driving marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness and growth. This role involves overseeing various marketing programs, managing teams, and executing campaigns across multiple platforms, with a strong emphasis on Hip-Hop culture and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and long-term planning across a portfolio of programming and platforms
  • Lead new show and campaign launches from conception through execution in both new and existing categories
  • Develop and drive comprehensive omni-channel marketing plans including innovative campaign concepts and media planning
  • Manage various marketing teams and provide coaching, development, and strategic direction
  • Understand the competitive landscape and stay current on social and digital tools
  • Conduct informal market research to understand audience behavior and drivers
  • Prepare marketing activity reports, manage marketing budgets, and conduct post-mortems
  • Establish brand voice and consistency across all platforms and social media accounts
  • Maintain a marketing calendar of launches and campaigns across organic and paid verticals
  • Foster strategies with the organic and paid Social Media teams to scale social media following and engagement
  • Work closely with the Creative Services team to create marketing assets
  • Build and maintain creator and influencer relationships for strategic marketing campaigns
  • Leverage data and market insights to develop impactful strategic recommendations
  • Partner with other websites for traffic bartering.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience at a media company, agency, or brand with an emphasis on digital marketing strategy
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership capacity
  • Expertise in planning, prioritizing, and goal setting
  • History of developing narratives to support marketing campaign concepts
  • Experience working with social, product, and creative teams to develop custom campaigns
  • 3+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience across various platforms
  • Working knowledge of paid app install programs to drive downloads
  • E-commerce ecosystem knowledge and corresponding marketing elements
  • Proficient in brand development and multi-channel marketing concepts
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead various teams
  • Ability to provide clear and concise direction and feedback to stakeholders
  • Capability to analyze market trends and develop strategic insights
  • Experience launching shows/products/podcasts and running digital marketing campaigns
  • Strong communication, creative thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or related field.
