About the position

The Director of Marketing at The Little Nell is a pivotal role responsible for leading the annual marketing strategy development and executing ongoing marketing plans. This position requires a deep understanding of guest insights and market dynamics, as well as the ability to analyze financial contributions from marketing initiatives. The Director will oversee the marketing team on property and will focus on both hotel and food & beverage operations to achieve monthly and annual revenue goals. This role is crucial as The Little Nell prepares for its brand expansion into new markets. The Director of Marketing will collaborate closely with the General Manager and report to the Head of Marketing at Aspen Hospitality. Strong leadership capabilities are essential, as the Director will inspire and develop direct talent while collaborating with indirect team members and stakeholders. The position demands a resourceful, organized, and digitally savvy individual with a creative eye and extensive marketing experience, particularly in hospitality marketing and branding. Key responsibilities include ownership of the marketing strategy, execution of marketing plans, oversight of digital media presence, and management of guest touchpoints. The Director will also partner with various teams to ensure that all marketing initiatives align with brand standards and deliver engaging messaging to the intended audience. Additionally, the role involves managing vendor relationships, leading the annual marketing budget process, and generating comprehensive recaps for key initiatives. The budgeted salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000, with actual pay dependent on experience and budget considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual marketing strategy development for The Little Nell.
  • Execute ongoing marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Manage the on-property marketing team and oversee daily operations.
  • Analyze guest insights and market dynamics to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and report to the Head of Marketing.
  • Oversee digital media presence and content for the property.
  • Manage paid media objectives in partnership with the Digital team.
  • Ensure social media initiatives align with brand standards and objectives.
  • Develop and execute email marketing strategies in collaboration with the Aspen One Content team.
  • Maintain brand voice and uphold brand standards across all marketing materials.
  • Create seasonal packages and promotions in collaboration with Sales and Revenue departments.
  • Drive awareness and sales for key programs and initiatives in partnership with Food & Beverage and Events teams.
  • Manage vendor and agency relationships and lead the annual marketing budget process.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in hospitality marketing strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Restaurant and/or Food & Beverage outlets is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a preferred emphasis in marketing or business.
  • Experience with content and asset production is necessary.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including etiquette and public interaction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of golf and marina experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in diverse situations.
